Multifocal Contact Lenses at Advantage Eyecare in North Richland Hills
Our optometrist, Dr Mark Schwartz and Dr. Arlene Schwartz, is dedicated to helping you see better, which is why we offer the 1-Day Acuvue Moist Multifocal Contact Lenses at Advantage Eyecare in Richland Hills. Multifocal contacts offer individuals with presbyopia the ability to see at distance and close-up without the need for reading glasses.
Presbyopia is an age-related condition that occurs in individuals over the age of 40. As we age, the lens inside our eyes becomes less elastic. This causes near-vision to become blurry, and you may find yourself holding reading materials at arms-length in order to read the words.
Advantages of 1-Day Acuvue Moist Multifocal Contact Lenses
The 1-Day Acuvue Moist Multifocal Contact Lenses are customized according to your needs and pupil size. Acuvue offers more than 180 various contact lens designed that are based on your age, pupil size and refractive error.

According to a study performed on the lenses, more than 75 percent of wearers achieved very good to excellent comfort for daily wear. Near vision was corrected to a minimum of 20/30 for more than 90 percent of wearers, and more than 80 percent of wearers achieved 20/20 distance vision.
Contact Lens Exams with our Optometrist Dr Mark Schwartz
Our optometrist, Dr Mark Schwartz and Dr. Arlene Schwartz, can examine your eyes to determine if you have presbyopia and if multifocal lenses from Acuvue would be right for you. During the exam, your visual acuity will be tested for distance and near vision and your cornea will be measured to determine the fit of your new contact lenses. Then, a sample pair of lenses will be tested in your eyes to ensure a proper fit.
Next, your new multifocal lenses will be ordered. These multifocal lenses come in packs of 60 or 90 and are worn daily. At night, you will throw the pair of lenses away and replace them with a new pair in the morning. This helps ensure consistently clear vision and reduces the need for cleaning and disinfecting your lenses.
Once your new lenses arrive, our optometrist will perform another examination to make sure your lenses fit correctly and that you have the correct near and distance vision.
